And eventually, a lot of outdoor activities start to open after the end of summer by October, making it a good time to visit Dubai. 1. Water Circus at Dubai Festival City Mall

Fontana, a breathtaking aquatic show and the first travelling water circus in the Middle East, has landed in Dubai at Dubai Festival City Mall’s Festival Bay from September 29. The show is  produced by Cirque Du Liban.

Fontana Water Circus, Dubai Festival City Mall

Fontana will be hosting a number of shows in Dubai. You get to witness some stunning performances which includes a blend of live entertainment, artistic circus performances, captivating special effects and amazing aerialists with water, all under a tailor-built aqua theatre. And if that is not enough, the action is paired with a musical dancing fountain.

Ticket prices start from Dhs90 for the green seating and it goes all the way up to Dhs300 for gold which will get you seats right in front of the mesmerizing action.

  • Friday & Saturday: 4PM to 6PM and 7PM to 9PM

2. Expo City Dubai

Expo City Dubai reopens on October 1, as a hub for sustainability, innovation, education and entertainment. Visitors can gain access to all flagship pavilions, Al Wasl Plaza, Surreal water feature and Garden in the Sky.

Alif Pavilion, Terra Pavilion, Vision Pavilion, Women’s Pavilion are some of the popular pavilions that will be open.

Visitors can enter Al Wasl 360-degree projection dome and get their feet wet in the Surreal water feature free of charge when the Expo City Dubai opens on October 1st. As part of the official launch, the venue will host “Awakening of Al Wasl” at 6:15pm, five evenings a week from Wednesday to Sunday and be open to all visitors free of charge.

Entry ticket to each pavilion costs AED50 per person. Children aged 12 and under and People of Determination can visit the attractions for free, but the complimentary pass must be picked up at one of Expo City Dubai’s ticketing booths.

3. Get a massage for just Dhs50 at Aura Skypool Lounge

I think we all deserve some extra pampering at the moment. So why not check it out at the world’s highest?!

4. Super Sports Meydan Run

Super Sports Meydan Run is happening on Sunday, October 9. You can choose between 3km, 5km, 10km and 16km races.

The race is open to all ages and fitness levels, and there are plenty of refreshments along the way to keep you hydrated.

5. Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Safari Park reopened to the public on September 27th, for its new season following the end of summer. The reopening brings new entertainment and educational experiences, as well as new mammals. The area will also feature new restaurants and cafes serving local and international cuisines.

Spanning across a 119-hectare site, you can find around 3000 animals, including 78 types of mammals, including 10 different carnivores and 17 primates, 50 types of reptiles, 111 kinds of birds, plus amphibians and invertebrates.

A simple day pass costs Dh50 per adult and Dh20 per child aged 3 to 12. Open every day from 9.00AM –5.00PM, Al Warqa 5 – Dubai.

6. Prix Pictet photography exhibition at Alserkal Avenue 

Calling out all art lovers? Don’t miss out this powerful photography exhibition at Alserkal Avenue.

The Prix Pictet is one of the most celebrated art competitions in the world harnessing the power of photography. The fire exhibition is currently on display to the public at Alserkal Avenue until Sunday, October 16.

The exhibition shows the competition’s shortlisted works from 13 photographers including Lebanese photographers Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige.

7. Take a trip to Hatta Wadi Hub

Earlier this week, Hatta, Dubai’s beloved glamping and adventure destination, reopened for its fifth reason. You can enjoy all your favourite outdoor activities like  archery, ziplines, axe-throwing, paragliding, kayaking, horse riding and off-roading on electric scooters. An adventure ropes course is a new addition to this season.

Hatta

Just 90mins drive from Dubai, Hatta wadi hub is open from 08:00am to 07:00pm daily. Hatta resorts are also open, if you have plans for a staycation.

8. Shop at Ripe Market

The beloved outdoor Ripe Market is coming back this October at Academy Park in Al Sufouh. This year the Academy Park will have loads of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Grab your bags and get ready to pick up some crafts, gifts, local produce, organic fruit and vegetables, freshly baked goods, clothes, handmade jewellery, hand-painted artworks, and more.

9. Three day Music festival at The Pointe

The Pointe in Dubai is hosting a three-day music festival, called Recognising Emerging Local Musicians (RELM FEST).

Taking place from Friday, 21 October to Sunday, 23 October, the RELM fest will feature a dynamic line-up of artists performing their newly released hits. Each act’s music will be synchronized to The Palm Fountain in addition to performing amid the scenic backdrop.

RELM Fest will also feature non-stop music, the debut of 5 new fountain shows, live performances, exclusive dining options, a spectacular firework display and much more.

10. Global Village

Global Village is set to reopen on October 25 for its 27th season. The 27th season will feature 27 pavilions including two new pavilions from Qatar and Oman.

The ‘Global Village Big Balloon’  ride has enough space for 20 passengers of all ages.

A new concept called Road of Asia is also featured in the new season, which will be a dedicated street featuring kiosks by 13 Asian countries. Another addition is ‘Big Balloon Ride’ that will take its visitors to new heights this year, offering 360-degree bird’s eye views of the park and the Dubai skyline.

11. Watch The Sleeping Beauty – A Bitesize Ballet at Mall of the Emirates

The world-famous ballet, The Sleeping Beauty – A Bitesize Ballet is coming to Dubai this October, organized by Art For All.

The performance follows princess Aurora who has been put under a sleeping spell and she has to await for prince charming to save her from this curse. It is the perfect ballet for all young audiences, adapted for the stage in a ‘bitesize’ version.
