WeWalk 2023 invites you to lace up your sneakers for its annual walkathon taking place this Saturday, November 18, at Dubai Science Park.

The walkathon path is about three and a half kilometers, taking around 42 minutes, and goes through the lovely Dubai Science Park.

And there’s more! From 7 am to 12 pm, the event has exciting activities, workshops, and family-friendly fun, including food trucks and pop-ups, making it a morning to remember.

Tickets are available at Dhs50 per person or Dhs30 for children below ten years old. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Dubai Autism Centre. Secure your tickets at wewalk.ae.

Participants will receive a welcome kit upon registration, consisting of a bag, cap, t-shirt, and water flask—essential items for a day of walking and enjoyment. You can pick up the welcome kit either the night before on Friday, November 17, from 5 pm to 9 pm, or on the event day itself, between 6:30 am and 7:45 am.

The event held in 2022 garnered a large audience and successfully raised Dhs700,000 in donations for the UAE Rare Disease Society.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental condition affecting one in every 36 children, as reported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In the year 2022, the Ministry of Community Development documented over 4,500 cases of autism in the UAE.

Haif Zamzam, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing at TECOM Group, said “WeWalk has become an instrumental part of our Group’s efforts to uplift and unify society by bringing together individuals from all communities to deliver lasting, positive change. Through our partnership with Dubai Autism Centre this year, we will raise awareness and funds to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leading centre for the education and treatment of people with autism.”
